During my time at Airbnb, I started realizing the incalculable power of simultaneously keeping confidences, while also inspiring self-confidence; of being both a trusted ear as well as a "permissionary." A modern elder can give younger co-workers the capacity, courage, and permission to truly “go for it” along with a potential roadmap for how to effectively meet their goals.
